Our Fundraising efforts for the opening of the camp in 2014 were started in style at a local Cocktail Bar in Whitchurch, Cardiff called Miss Jones. We had a brilliant three course meal and entertainment, a great raffle, lots of dancing and cocktails too! Over 100 people came and were very generous.

A HUGE thank you to the Miss Jones Staff, the entertainment who gave their time for free, everyone who donated raffle and everyone who bought tickets- we raised an outstanding £1090.40!

On Black Friday the Five C's team spent the day at Sainsbury's, Thornhill not only raising the fantastic amount of over £560, but also raising awareness of the amazing work that the young people involved with us partake in.

It was a superb day with loads of carolling, smiles and stickers.

As usual, a massive thank you goes to all of our members that took the time to help on the day, especially Lawrence Smart who organised this for us and to those who stood in the foyer and sang carols. Lastly but certainly not least a huge thank you goes to all those busy stressed shoppers who stopped to chat about what it is we do and donated to us.

You have no idea how far your money goes. So thank you.

Whitchurch Christmas Market

We made a fantastic £102 at the Earl Haig Christmas Market selling some homemade Christmas goodies including some all the way from Belarus!

Other Support

This summer we have also had support from some of our members and friends- one of our Team Leaders, Owen Moon completed the 'Tough Mudder' challenge and made over £100 in sponsors! Another of our Team Leaders, Bethan Sexton's mum held a cocktail and tapas evening and raised over £400!

Another friend of the charity, Kyle Greck, shaved off his very long hair and made over £400 in sponsors!

Thank You to everyone for your support- we are so grateful!

Due to this generous support and addition to our funds, we are able to begin building our volunteers house in Zabrodia this Autumn, with the land cleared and foundations being built before December!

Sainsbury's Weekend

A massive thank you goes to Lawrence at Sainsbury's, Thornhill who, once again, on the weekend of the 7th and 8th of September allowed us to hold a collection in their foyer and to publicise the work that we do.

Thanks to this we collected a wonderful contribution to our funds of £402.52!

A huge thank you goes to the staff of Sainsbury's, our wonderful members who helped us and the generous public who donated to us.

Tony's Cogan to Snowdon Challenge

Tony Powell, a member of the charity, completed a challenge of a lifetime while we were in Belarus this year, cycling from the lowest to the highest point in Wales, Cogan to the peak of Snowdon.

He achieved it in 5 days and covered 225 miles.

A huge thank you goes to him for his amazing effort and success in raising £1360!

We took a total of 30 volunteers to the Summer Camp this summer consisting of current members, team leaders and trustees and wonderful new volunteers from the Interact Clubs of Whitchurch High School and Howell's School of Llandaff.

As last year, the volunteers were either child care, being a part of an international team helping with the every day to day running of the camp, or maintenance, being a part of a team that maintains the camp for the winter months and keep the camp looking vibrant. On top of this the maintenance team also started the clearing of land this year, which will in the future be home to The Five C's volunteers and guest house.

All the volunteers were amazing ambassadors for The Five C's and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves. We have had some amazing feedback from the Belarusian Children’s Hospice staff and it would not be the success that it is or the amazing experience for the Children without your hard work and dedication - Thank you!!

Spring Trip

Beth and Zac visited Belarus in April, delivering the money raised during the past year, totalling just over $5000 while buying the necessary supplies for the Summer Project and delivering them to the camp. We also met with the Hospice staff to discuss all aspects of the Five C's work.

The first fundraiser of 2013 was an International Tea Party. We raised a total of £363.22 and it was a resounding success. As usual this would not have been the case, if not for our wonderful members who worked so hard serving up the tea and cakes.

Thank you so much!

Bag Pack

A huge thank you goes to Lawrence Smart at Sainsbury's, Thornhill for his on-going support- with our tin shake in January raising the sum total of £128.76.

Another big thank you goes to the members that helped us and stood in the freezing cold with smiles on their faces. It really is appreciated.

South Wales Echo Wish Campaign
